In a small bowl, combine together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon powder and chilli powder.
Slice off the outer skin of the pineapple and then cut it into 1 inch thickness. Using a pineapple corer or a round piping nozzle core the pineapples to form rings.
Pour the prepared cinnamon butter mixture on top of the pineapple rings and smear it on all sides.
Place it in your air fryer basket in one single layer and ary fry at 375°F or 180°C for 15 mins turning the pineapples half way around with the help of tongs.
Serve the warm pineapples with ice-cream on the side or check the post to see the different ways to serve them.

Notes
Do not use aluminium foil or parchment paper for this recipe. After testing the recipe, I figured out that you get those nice charred look only when you place the pineapple rings directly in the air fryer basket.
The leftover air fryer pineapple can be used in any recipe that calls for fresh pineapple, such as Pineapple Upside-Down Cake!
I like to use fresh pineapple rings or sometimes cut into chunks when making this recipe because they have better flavor than canned (although you could use canned if that's what you have). Just make sure not to overcook them so they stay nice and juicy inside!
Make sure to use a ripe pineapple. Ripeness is indicated by the color of the pineapple's flesh—if it's pale green, it's not ripe. Pick a pineapple with yellow-gold flesh for the sweetest fruit.
The addition of chilli powder is the highlight of the recipe. You can skip it if making for kids.
The settings remain the same for any type of Air Fryer you use - Instant Pot, Philips, Ninja, Mealthy etc. Just remember to not place the aluminium foil if you like the charred look.
