Pour warm milk, melted butter, sugar, and salt into the bread machine pan. Add bread flour on top. Make a small well in the flour and add the yeast into it.
Select the Dough setting and press Start. The machine will knead and allow the dough to rise (usually takes 1.5 hours).
Once the cycle ends, remove the dough and place on a floured surface. Divide into 12 equal pieces (about 65–70g each) and shape into smooth balls.
Place rolls in a greased 9x13-inch pan, spaced slightly apart. Cover with a towel or cling film and let rise for 30–45 minutes or until puffy and nearly touching.
Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Bake for 18-23 minutes, or until golden brown.
Brush hot rolls with melted butter. Let cool slightly, then serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Flour Substitute: Bread flour is ideal for fluffy rolls, but all-purpose flour can be used if that’s what you have — the texture may be slightly less chewy but still soft and delicious.
Shaping Tip: To get smooth tops, pinch the seams under each dough ball and place them seam-side down in the pan.
Freezer-Friendly: Baked rolls freeze beautifully. Cool completely, wrap well, and freeze for up to 1 month.
Versatile Dough: This dough also works great for hamburger buns, cheese-stuffed rolls, or even a simple pizza dough if you’re feeling creative.
