To the blender jar, add the oats, baking powder and salt. Blend for few seconds till it is grounded.
Add the wet ingredients - Banana, Vanilla Essence and Milk.
This is what I call a Blank Canvas or the plain version of baked oats. You can either blend this and pour into ramekins and bake to make the plain version or add flavourings of choice or follow the next steps.
Apple Cinnamon Baked Oats
To the blank canvas add apples and cinnamon powder. Blend till you get a cake batter like consistency.
Pour it into greased ramekins.
Top with few more apple pieces and bake in a preheated oven of 375°F (190°C) for 20 mins.
Drizzle some melted white chocolate and almond flakes and serve warm.
Peanut Butter Banana Baked Oats
To the Blank Canvas add peanut butter and blend.
Transfer it to greased ramekins. Pour till 3/4 of the size then add a tbsp of peanut butter in the centre and cover it with some more batter on top.
Bake in a preheated oven of 375°F (190°C) for 20 mins.
Serve with caramlized bananas and crushed peanuts on top.
Nutella Baked Oats
To the blank canvas add the nutella and cocoa powder and blend till you get cake batter like consistency.
Transfer it to the greased ramekin, place a small chocolate piece in the centre and bake in a preheated oven of 375°F (190°C) for 20 mins.
Serve garnished with fresh berries, chocolate shavings and more nutella on top.

Oats: Use rolled oats or traditional oats for this recipe. Steel cut oats won't work.
Bananas: Do not skip using it. Bananas make everything creamier and sweeter. The riper the bananas the better the taste will be.
Sweeteners: As there are no sweeteners in the recipe; it is important that you add some kind of sweetener on top as garnish while serving like fresh fruits, caramalized fruits or drizzle some chocolate or honey or maple syrup if you are not habituated to unsweetened oats. Personally I feel adding 1tbsp maple syrup or honey to the tiktok baked oats recipe would elevate the taste of it.
Fruits: Apart from adding sweetness it also keeps the oats moist.
Grease the ramekins to ensure that nothing sticks.
Single dish: Instead of baking in 2 ramekins, you can add all the batter to a wide mouth ramekin or a mini casserole and bake.
Nutritive Value: To increase the nutritive value you can add a scoop of protein powder, almond meal, flax seed powder or chia seed powder.
Since we are not adding any eggs to the recipe, the resultant won't be light and airy rather it would be more like a dense cake like texture.
If you are making the plain version of baked oats then do consider adding 1 tbsp of maple syrup or honey for some sweetness and flavour.
The recipe can be easily doubled or tripled.
To make it even faster you can consider cooking it in the microwave rather than oven. Microwave for 60 to 90 seconds in a microwave safe dish that is twice the size of the batter since it will rise while baking quickly in the microwave.
Baked Oats Muffins:You can use the same recipe to make a muffin too.Simply follow the recipe and pour the batter in a greased muffin mold and bake for 30 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean.Nutrition:The nutrition mentioned in the recipe is for plain baked oats and not for the flavourings as that would vary depending upon what flavour you are making.
