Easy Garlic Puff Pastry Twists

Ingredients

sheet puff pastry
thawed according to package instructions

melted unsalted butter
or olive oil

garlic cloves
finely minced or grated (or 1 tsp garlic powder)

grated Parmesan or processed cheese

fresh parsley or coriander
finely chopped

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Mix melted butter (or olive oil) with garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs in a small bowl.
Roll the thawed puff pastry into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
Brush garlic butter evenly over one half and sprinkle Parmesan cheese.
Fold the other half over the filling.
Cut the pastry into 1-inch (2.5 cm) strips with a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
Twist each strip several times and place on the prepared tray, pressing ends lightly to secure.
Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden, puffed, and crispy.
Optionally, brush with any remaining garlic butter immediately after baking.
Let cool for 5 minutes and serve warm with dips or on their own.
Notes
Storage:
Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days; reheat in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for 3–5 minutes.
Make-ahead:
Assemble and refrigerate on a baking sheet for a few hours before baking.
Cooking alternatives:
Can be baked in a conventional oven, toaster oven, or air fryer at the same temperature and time.
Serving suggestions:
Serve with pesto aioli, cheese dip, whipped ricotta, herbed yogurt, soups, or salads.
Cheese & herb variations:
Try Pecorino Romano, Gruyere, cheddar, or mozzarella; swap parsley for cilantro or basil, or add chili flakes for a kick.
