You don't have to be a skilled baker to make these cute Eggless Halloween Cupcakes. These are surprisingly super easy to make (psst psst.. even a 5 yr old can make it 😉 )
What are Halloween Cupcakes
It is basically a type of Halloween Treat; dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martrys, and all the departed. A simple chocolate cupcakes that are decorated to look spooky, scary, creepy, yet be tasty, and easy to make.
Today I am sharing with you an Eggless Halloween Cupcakes decoration ideas that I feel are rather cute than scrary. And the Bonus point they are ridiculously easy to make.
Things needed:
- Chocolate Cupcakes: You can use any of your favourite cupcake recipe or you can also follow mine from the recipe card below.
- Chocolate Frosting: Either use any of your favourite or check my all time favourite recipe from the recipe card below.
- Owl Cupcakes: To make the owl design we would need oreos and MandM's.
- Dirt Cupcakes: Oreos and gummy worms.
- Spider Web Cupcakes: Marshmallows and spiders.
Step by Step Instructions:
Step 1 - Eggless Chocolate Cupcakes
- In a bowl sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, sugar. Give a quick mix. (image 1)
- Make 3 depressions on the dry ingredients and add the wet ingredients which includes vanilla essence, oil and vinegar. (image 2)
- Add water and combine everything into a smooth cake batter like consistency. (image 3)
- Scoop out the batter evenly to make 12 cupcakes. (image 4)
- Then bake in a preheated oven of 180°C for for 18-22 mins or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
- Let it sit in the pan itself for another 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 2 - Chocolate Condensed Milk Frosting
- Beat the butter until light, pale and fluffy. (This would take anywhere between 10-15 mins).
- Scrape the bowl add the condensed milk and beat again.
- Finally add the melted chocolate and beat until combined to form the chocolate frosting.
How to make Owl Cupcakes
- Slather some frosting on the cupcakes to cover the base. (image 5)
- Split the oreos into two halves to reveal the frosting. Use the frosted white part to make eyes of the owl. (image 6)
- Divide the unfrosted oreo biscuit into two to form the ears of the owl. (image 7)
- Finally use MandM's to form the nose and pupils of the owl cupcakes (image 8)
Dirt Cupcakes Instructions:
- Slather some frosting on the cupcakes. (image 9)
- Crush or pulse some oreos in the mixer to form oreo soil and add it on top of the the frosted cupcakes. (image 10)
- Place some gummy worms on top to form the dirt cupcakes. (image 11)
Spider Web Cupcakes.
- Using Wilton 1M pipe frosting on top of the cupcakes.
- Microwave some marshmallows for 15 seconds to make it stretchy.
- Then stretch the marshmallows to form the web pattern and place it on top of the cupcakes.
- Add a spider on top to complete the look.

Storing Instructions:
Store the frosted cupcakes in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
You can also consider freezing the cupcakes for up to 2 months.
Baker's Tips:
- Instead of water use milk to make the eggless chocolate cupcakes richer.
- Use thick and good quality cupcake liners so that the wrappers doesn't feel oily once baked.
- Regular marshmallows do contain gelatin in them so if you are a vegetarian make sure you are buying vegetarian or vegan marshmallows.
- Always store the frosted cupcake in the refrigerator.

I do remember you hv mentioned in the video to use gm measurements instead of cups. I’m active follower of u in insta and YouTube as well .

Thank u soo much for replying back ..No worries with the measurements I used 100gm as 1 cup and accordingly used other ingredients measurements.
Finally I did 28 cupcakes and all came very well . Am very happy with how they came out .. I did piping for the first time and happy with outcome ..
